Walter Cronkite IV
Walt Cronkite works as a policy communications executive in Washington, D.C., and is a former political journalist and published author. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife Abby, two children, and a rambunctious springer spaniel. Walt is a native New Yorker, and has fond memories of childhood sailing trips in the British Virgin Islands with his grandparents, Walter and Betsy Cronkite, and Remar Sutton.
Amanda Hearst
Amanda Hearst Rønning is a co-founder of WELL/BEINGS, a non-profit dedicated to working at the intersection between animal welfare, environmental impact and the climate crisis. Amanda spent nearly a decade working with New York based animal welfare organizations, and several years on the Executive Board of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). She currently sits on the advisory boards of ethical fashion non-profits NEST and Remake.
Andrew Jarecki
Andrew Jarecki is an American filmmaker, musician, and entrepreneur, renowned for the Emmy-winnng HBO series "The Jinx" and the Oscar-nominated documentary "Capturing the Friedmans." His father, Dr. Henry Jarecki, owns Guana and Norman Islands in the British Virgin Islands, fostering the family's longstanding connection to the region.
Lianna Jarecki
Dr. Lianna Jarecki is a wetlands ecologist, educator, and environmental advocate. With advanced degrees from Cornell, Florida, Kent, and Dresden, she has shaped science education and conservation in the BVI, advised on sustainable policies, and led marine ecosystem research. Now semi-retired in North Carolina, she continues to support environmental initiatives in the BVI.
Clyde Lettsome
Clyde Lettsome is a retired public servant who held key roles, including Manager of Waste Management and PS in multiple ministries. Now an Executive at Oil Nut Bay, he also leads the North Sound Foundation. He chairs the National Parks Trust and holds degrees in engineering, policy studies, and public administration.
Remar Sutton
Remar Sutton was the Founder of the Trustees of the BVI National Parks, USA. He is Chairman of the Trustees of the Hearst Castle Preservation Foundation and a former syndicated columnist of the Washington Post. Remar datelined many of his Post columns from the BVI.
Justin Albert
Justin Albert is a multi-award winning documentary filmmaker and former head of global production for Animal Planet. He led the National Trust Wales and now develops UK agri-tech innovation centers. A longtime BVI advocate, he has owned businesses there and holds leadership roles in conservation, arts, and education, including Rewilding Britain and BAFTA.
Archduchess Gabriella of Austria and Prince Henri of Bourbon-Parma
Gabriella and Henri Bourbon-Parma are co-founders of the Swiss non-profit "Fortuite Foundation," combatting loneliness. They also balance a professional career in Fintech and event management. Henri and Gabriella are a couple with deep-rooted family values, who strive to protect our nature for future generations, ensuring all inherit a thriving, beautiful world, including their three young children.

Shereen Flax-Charles
Shereen Flax-Charles is a leader, entrepreneur, and artist from Virgin Gorda, BVI. A former Junior Minister (2019-2023), she has shaped tourism, trade, and cultural events. A community advocate and award-winning vocalist, she represented BVI at Miss Universe 1986 and performs across the Caribbean and the U.S.
Steve and Ali DeNure
Steven and Alison DeNure have been a part of the BVI community since 1981. Alison, an arts administrator and equestrian, is dedicated to conservation and community work. Steven, a media entrepreneur and film producer, co-founded Wildbrain and has led major media companies while serving on corporate and non-profit boards.
Don Martin
Don Martin — Co-founder of Windsor Textile Corporation and founder of Don Martin International, textile companies in New York City and the only black person to break this barrier. He is also the author of Blackman White Industry, my journey through the men's fashion world. After doing business all over the world, he now resides 50 percent of the time in the British Virgin Islands, his ancestral home, where he co-founded M2 Modern Design, a building material supply company operating in Road Town, Tortola, BVI.
Alexander Hector and Anna Munro
Anna Sofie Hvid Munro is the founder and CEO of Rural Agency, an architecture consultancy focused on revitalizing rural communities through design, strategy, and innovation. Alexander Munro is a member of the historic Holstein-Ledreborg family. Ledreborg Castle is a baroque estate near Lejre, Denmark, surrounded by the scenic landscape of "Skjoldungernes Land National Park." Anna and Alexander are the 9th geration on Ledreborg Castle, where they participate in the running of the estate together with Alexander's parents.
Breanna Shultz
Breanna Shultz is a co-founder of WELL/BEINGS, a non-profit dedicated to working at the intersection between animal welfare, environmental impact and the climate crisis. Breanna has served on the Executive Board of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and is a member of the organization's Humane Generation. Breanna also holds a Master of Arts in Animal Behavior and Conservation and sits on the Executive Board of Animal Haven, one of the pre-eminent no-kill shelters in Manhattan.
David and Sara Stemler
David and Sara Stemler are experienced entrepreneurs with nearly 50 years in the building materials industry, known for their focus on sustainability. Semi-retired, they now spend much of the year at their home on Tortola's West End. Passionate about giving back, they support charities and good causes in the US and BVI. They first fell in love with the natural beauty and warm-hearted people of "Nature's Little Secrets" while chartering sailboats in the region years ago.
Shamra and Brian Strange
Brian and Shamra, hospitality entrepreneurs and vintners, are deeply committed to the preservation of the British Virgin Islands and its natural beauty. With a passion for thoughtful stewardship, they own The Inn at Mattei's Tavern and Long Bay Beach Resort. Brian is also a lawyer and founding partner of Strange LLP.
Jonnie Swans
Jonnie Swann has served on the boards of Audubon of Florida and The Nature Conservancy Caribbean. Jonnie is currently a trustee of the Highlands Biological Foundation of North Carolina, and is a trustee of the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL. Thru her work with the Nature Conservancy, Jonnie has supported the mapping of coral reefs and mangroves in 17 countries, including the BVI.
Lawrence Wheatley
Lawrence Wheatley is a visionary entrepreneur and business leader with over 19 years of experience. His leadership spans multiple industries which contribute to local economic development and community projects, including the Anegada Community Centre Renovation and Anegada Pre-School Fit Out. Lawrence holds a BSc. in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Bethune-Cookman College and is a licensed airplane pilot and captain.
Johnny Whitteridge
Johnny Whitteridge owns one of the remotest estates in Scotland, containing some of the most protected SSSI land habitats in Europe.
In addition to working to preserve wild land and endangered marine environments, he consults on renewable energy and has a background in archaeology and history.
Johnny is currently developing a coastal viking heritage ammenity in the North West Highlands. He is also a qualified powerboat skipper, fly fisherman, and scallop freediver.
